The Edgar Header Editor is used for viewing and editing Grams/SPC standard headers. To activate the Header Editor, open any Grams/SPC file, right click anywhere in the plot area, and select Show Header. This will display the Grams/SPC header to the right of the plot area. Then if you right click in the header area you will get a list of all possible header parameters. Not all parameters are displayed by default, but you can turn them on/off by selecting or deselecting to customize your header view. The names of some of the header parameters have been shortened in order fit in less space. You can see the full parameter name by positioning the mouse cursor over the short parameter name or the parameter value. The full name will be displayed briefly then removed.
You have the option to grab the "grip" at the top of the header viewer and drag the header outside the plot window, so that it becomes its own top level window. If you do this, then close the detached window, it will reinsert itself into the plot window.
By default the memo editor for the memo field will show up just below the instrument field. Some versions of Acquire and Grams will also display the memo field.
To deactivate the Header Editor, right click again inside the plot area, then click on Show Header.
